The London Freewheel bike ride took place on Sunday 21st of September and was a great way to enjoy London busy city centre with no traffic actually no car as the centre was packed by apparently by 50.000 cyclists, luckily we joined a bit later on in the afternoon where we could really enjoy it at the maximum!

12 km route along the most iconic streets in London, one of the best ride I have made in the city through its unique landmarks: the Tower of London, London Bridge, the London Eye, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace and the best there were even some spells of sunshine! what a summery day!
An event well organized, they even arrange some hubs in several part of the city where cyclists would have gathered and then be led by experienced riders to get there safely, but I must say we didn’t even encounter much traffic along the way, nothing compare to the daily weekly commute ( I used to ride to work from Tufnell Park to Hyde Park every day for almost a year until I have been knock off..ups )

Chris was so excited that he even had serious thoughts to carry on to go to work by bicycle the following days, but when he woke up this morning it was already another story.

So next year, dust off your bike and enjoy a traffic-free London (you don't have to dress up in this way, only if you want it :-))
